Big Cypress National Preserve.



1. Wheelchair accessible trail (and name and length of that trail)
Kirby Storter Boardwalk, just under a mile round trip - out and back.  This
is a beautiful boardwalk through a cypress strand.  The Oasis Visitor
Center and HP WIlliams Roadside have short boardwalk viewing platforms.


2. Easy, low-impact trail (and name and length of that trail)
All other trails are not wheel chair accessible a they are in the swamp -
wet most of the year.


3. If the site can be birded from a car
Both of our Scenic Drives, The Turner River Rd and Loop Rd, can be birded
from your car


4. If a guide or tour company is willing to modify site tours for
wheelchair birders
At this time tour companies are not allowed to operate in the preserve.
This will change in the future with the completion of our Commercial
Services Plan


5. If wheelchair accessible picnic tables are present
Wheelchair Accessible Picnic Tables are present at the Kirby Storter
Roadside and HP Williams Roadside.


6. If wheelchair accessible restrooms are present
Yes, at Kirby Storter Roadside, HP WIlliams Roadside and at the Oasis
Visitor Center
