Jonathan Dickinson State Park accessibility information

1. Wheelchair accessible trail (and name and length of that trail)

We have a 1.1 mile long paved multi-use trail (no formal name yet) that starts in the picnic area parking
lot and ends at the EaglesView Equestrian Area. Additionally, there is about two miles of abandoned
roadway pavement that is used for a paved bicycle trail that is also wheelchair accessible, called
(interestingly enough) the Paved Bicycle Trail.

2. Easy, low-impact trail (and name and length of that trail)

The Kitching Creek-Wilson Creek Nature Trails, in the River Picnic Area, are easy, low-impact trails of a
stacked-loop design. The longer loop, Kitching Creek, is about 1.5 miles.

3. If the site can be birded from a car

We have wide road shoulders which allow for ample pull-off.

4. If a guide or tour company is willing to modify site tours for wheelchair birders

Park Rangers are always willing, whenever possible, to adjust any interpretive tour to accommodate
wheelchair users.

5. If wheelchair accessible picnic tables are present

Yes

6. If wheelchair accessible restrooms are present

Yes
