number of birders are starting to carry a very light-weight
folding stool. These stools are sturdy, have a back, and a
strap for carrying over your shoulder. Since these are so
light and well made, they can be carried by almost any
birder, even if the birder uses a cane. At least one Audubon
Society sells these.
